PGHS 1966 – 60th Reunion

August 13, 2026

Dates – 9/30/26-10/1/26

  • No Host Cocktails on Wednesday September 30th, 2026 (Location to be determined but hopefully the former Doubletree as we have many times before.)  No cost to attend. Buy or don’t buy drinks.
  • Picnic at the Whispering Pines Park on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Cost to be determined but I’ll guarantee no more than $20 per person.

Update Class of ’76 60th Reunion

Here’s what we have planned (first weekend in October 2-4):

  1. Friday night at Frank Knight’s 5-9pm. Taco night (hosted by Frank) – BYOB.
  2. Saturday morning walk in the butterfly parade. We’ll be the last group in the parade. Parade meets in front of Robert Down school on Pine Street and starts at 10:30am. Look for our banner.
  3. Saturday night all school alumni dinner – info and form on the pghsaa.org website (you don’t have to be a member to go). They will seat our class together.
  4. Sunday – BBQ in Washington park. Jim Cain will be there at 10am to start the bbq pits. Bring your own food/drinks/chairs, no alcohol allowed in city parks. Jim Cain is the contact person – jimcainjc@yahoo.com

Scholarships

PGHSAA Scholarship Recipients 2026

The class of 1968 had the privilege of awarding our scholarship of $1968.00 to a remarkable young graduate, Kai Bishop. Mr. Bishop will attend Cal Berkeley in the Fall to study Chemical Engineering.

Kai could not have been more appreciative of our award.  Betsy Urnes Rosenthal and Stacey Souders Golding were honored to once again attend the annual Awards Ceremony.  The graduating Seniors are always so impressive and ready to take on the World!

Many thanks and much appreciation go to our class members who have specifically designated their donations to our scholarship fund.  Let’s keep it going!

2025 scholarships

At the Pacific Grove High School Scholarship and Awards Night, Wednesday, May 14, 22 students received awards from the Pacific Grove High School Alumni Association. PGHSAA President Beth Penney ‘73, Recording Secretary Patty Fifer Keiffer ’60, board members Stacey Souders Golding ’68 and Betsy Urnes Rosenthal ’68, and Patty’s husband Charlie, our official photographer, were on hand to help make the awards. Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients this year.

Thanks to our Scholarship Committee, which includes Lillian Griffiths ’70, Malcolm Colvin ’68, and Cate Goblirsch Lee ’94, for their work in selecting our winners, and to you, our generous donors, for making these awards possible. All awards are $1,000 unless otherwise noted. Our recipients are as follows:
